I use an inexpensive product by SC Johnson called Jubliee. It is very versitile and can be used to clean a host of other things. But, it works great on leather furniture, purses, shoes and belts. Cleans off tough stains and then leaves a protective coating to resist future staining.

Saddle Soap. It is a great leather conditioner. It may darken your bag a little though, but it will make it very soft and keep it from cracking.
